UA Vitae Administrative Support Training - Spring 2016

These training sessions are available for staff who are supporting the use of UA Vitae in their units.

UA Vitae: What's New?

This session is for admins who have been in the system regularly since the new interface released in August, who are comfortable with basic admin functions. This session will highlight new functions available to you and your faculty.

UA Vitae: Admin Basic Training

This session is for brand-new admins, or admins who want a complete refresher. This session is for you if you've never used the system, or if you haven't used it since the interface change and need to re-orient to the system. Includes the basics of getting started in order to support your units:

  • how to add faculty and activate logins
  • adding permissions for dept. heads, other support staff, delegates
  • how to emulate users
  • learn about the input form, and vitae outputs
  • Includes "what's new"

UA Vitae: Evaluation Set-up

This session is for admins in units who used the evaluations last year, and will follow the same process without major changes to the setup structure. If your unit will need major changes, you should still attend this session, but you will need to work with your college coordinator or us on the other changes.

  • learn about initiated activity input form, why you need it (and when), and who to contact for initiation of forms
  • demo of what the review process looks like for the users
  • live cloning of evaluation setups
  • learn how to add / change review committee members, faculty being reviewed, review dates, and other parameters for the review process
  • learn how to unsubmit evaluations, retrieve and reset locked vitas when needed, retrieve evaluations
